Elevator, as an indispensable special equipment in daily life, its safety problem is directly related to the safety of people's lives and property, so what safety knowledge should we know when taking the elevator?
1. Many residents always worry about taking the elevator, " If it breaks down, the elevator will not suddenly fall down, right?"

The third line of defense: super stable buffer against impact even if all the luck, each safety protection device is ineffective, the bottom pit of the car is also equipped with a buffer, can slow down the impact of the elevator falling, to avoid the direct impact.
2. Is it safe for elevators to get sleepy?
The elevator is actually the control system detects an abnormal signal, like a brake stop. If the elevator detects the following two signals, both will trigger the protection device: one is to monitor the status of the parts of the equipment once the components do not work according to the design requirements, the elevator will stop running. For example, devices to prevent elevator falling elevators; various safety switches to monitor whether electrical and mechanical components work properly; floor door locks, car door locks, etc.
One is to monitor the behavior of the user, such as the device to prevent the elevator overload operation; the light screen protection device.
3. Will people suffocate after staying in the elevator car for a long time?
Elevators are equipped with ventilation holes, and the top of the car is equipped with ventilation device. Even if the ventilation device is broken, the elevator car and the outside air are connected, and passengers will not suffocate because of lack of oxygen.
Many people are trapped in the elevator without breathing, usually caused by high tension after an emergency. Even under extreme conditions, the oxygen concentration in the elevator is generally maintained above 20%, which is the same oxygen content in normal outdoor air.
4. What should we do if we get stuck in the elevator?
Do not panic in the trapped elevator, the following 4 steps can solve the current dilemma: keep calm: first of all, keep calm, adjust good breathing, save good physical strength, and wait patiently for rescue.
Active help: press the "phone" button on the car panel to talk to the property monitoring center, and press for 3-5 seconds, so that the outside world can know the specific information of the personnel trapped in the elevator as soon as possible.
Call the elevator emergency response phone: when the button is unanswered, then call the property and elevator maintenance public telephone posted in the elevator car, or moderately clap the door to call for help, in order to timely transmit the signal for help.
Cooperate with rescue to ensure safety: when the professional personnel to rescue must follow the command, do not forcibly open the elevator door.
5. Is it true that an elevator is not qualified just because it breaks down?
An elevator failure is not necessarily due to improper maintenance, but also due to human and external reasons.
Maintenance can effectively check the status of equipment related parts and eliminate potential faults, but it can not solve all kinds of problems in the quality links of the elevator.
6. Will the elevator really rise or fall rapidly?
When the elevator is in the process of starting to accelerate or decelerate, there will be a certain error between the actual position and the digital display floor. After the elevator stops for self-protection, the floor display will automatically switch to the actual position.
This caused the passengers to mistakenly think that the elevator had suddenly dropped several floors, but in fact the elevator stopped within the normal braking distance and was running at a normal speed without falling.
In addition, when the signal is lost, it may be possible to give the passenger the illusion of sliding down the ladder because of the appearance of the "-" symbol in the elevator.
7. Will the door stop closing as soon as you reach out to block it?
At present, there are two kinds of vertical elevators: touch plate type and light screen type. However, no matter which kind of elevator door will leave some blind spots. It can recognize people or large objects, but for small things or glass to block the door, the door may be forced to close and clamp the object.
In particular, dog leashes for dog owners or transparent glass in transport can be caught by the elevator door and the elevator continues to run, causing danger.
Note: These phenomena are not elevator faults
-The elevator does not stop: After the elevator car is full, it will not respond to the external call of the next station to avoid overloading.
-Overloaded elevator does not go: the load of the elevator is limited, after overloading, it will alarm and generally cannot start, most of the passengers who enter later can also consciously exit.
-The elevator does not close or repeatedly opens and closes the door: there are obstacles in the doorway or threshold to block the light screen or door touch plate.
-The elevator suddenly drops to the bottom floor and then returns to normal operation: after the power is cut off and then connected, the flat floor reference position should be re-determined.
-The elevator stops at the first floor and does not open the door: the fire alarm function of the elevator is triggered by the smoke or heat sensor inside the building.
-In summer, it is easy to find that the elevator does not move after opening the door at the flat floor, and then automatically resumes operation after a few minutes. The elevator stops running due to motor overheating protection when the running time is too long, and then automatically resumes operation after the motor is cooled.
-The elevator stops for a long time on a certain floor or does not respond to external calls: the button may be stuck, the door is blocked for a long time or the door is blocked.
